Our first meal of the year...

I got up so incredibly late and found Jenny and Pascal chatting on the living room couch. So I joined the charming couple, and we hung out for awhile. Now THIS is what I came to New York for. She asked me whom I was seeing these days so of course I told her the whole incredulous story about Little Joe Dinero. I also caught her up with what was going on with ORIENTED and she told me about her work at Goldman Sachs. Different year, different jobs, different men... same stories.

Yet another great dotcom idea...

Later Jenny and I moved over to the computer so that I could show her her profile. Pascal stayed on the couch and read his magazine. I was explaining about how this site plays on the "people like to watch other people" phenomena when Pascal eventually came over to take a look and said with his French accent, "Clistine. Zair iz a site where peopul can submit zair photoz and other peopul can rank them," to which I exclaimed, "Hey! That's the very site that set off the chain of events that lead to Little Joe's assorted confession!"

Pascal just smiled politely and returned to the couch, and in the meantime Jenny and I went to the site to check it out. It's AmIHotOrNot.com. For fun, I also submitted the picture that Little Joe and I took together in Vegas, under the username "Gooodgrrl." We'll see what happens. So we're still chatting and talking about everything under the sun and then Pascal comes back again. This time, he says, "Clistine. I have a gleat dotcom idea for jou. Jou should cleate - IsHeMarried.com - and have the peopul submit the photoz."

Holy smokes!

I went ballistic!! Yet another positive contribution I could make to society! Keep the married men off the streets! When entering a new relationship, first check IsHeMarried.com to see if he is listed! Or, if caught, submit his name and photo up so other women will know! Or just submit your husband's photo for insurance purposes! This site would surpass iVillage's page views by a whoppin' huge margin and would encompass ALL THE WOMEN AROUND THE WORLD. I could get funding for sure!! How funny would it be that I make my millions and retire because of Little Joe!

Moving on...

We immediately went to register the name at Network Solutions, but of course, it was already taken. However, I now have some ideas in mind. Heh heh. Not that I'm a bitter, vengeful, fatally attracted "other" woman. More to the point, this makes for DARN GOOD CONTENT. I absolutely love it!

We finally hooked up with Carol who Amtrakked in from Boston to meet me. Last week we were on the phone when we realized that she would be coming back to New York just as I was leaving, so I insisted that she come back earlier. That she did because HEY, I'm only in New York once a year.

Jenny and I went to pick her up at Madison Square Garden and then found a nearby diner ("Diner on the Square", LOL) to have lunch. Mark joined us shortly thereafter. Finally, Mark and Jenny meet, and the four of us had so much FUN. I'm surprised we didn't get kicked out for being as rowdy as we were. We sat in the restaurant for 3 hours until I had to go. Mark had his digital camera with him. COOL. Click on the pix for more photos...

By this time, I am looking a little rough... Make that worse than rough...

Carol is still the same...

After we left the Diner on the Square, Carol walked me to my track. We sat down to talk some more while I waited for my train. Aw... a pseudo Sunday brunch on a Monday afternoon... I told her about the IsHeMarried.com idea and how it would leave these unfaithful men with choices of women that they themselves would not want. Her reaction?

Her: "No! Christ! Don't do it!"

 Me: "Huh? Why not."

Her: "Because they'll end up with women like ME!"

 Me: "Huh?!!"

Her: "I never surf the Internet! I would never know if they were married!
Please please please, Christ! Promise me you won't do it!!"

She made me laugh until I hurt.

On the train, I met two mechanical engineering students from AU who said they were going to sign my guestbook. Cool. None of us had seats until we hit Philadelphia. I pulled into Union Station at 11 p.m. and was so very glad to be home.
