Friday, January 5th Chillin' out in San Francisco... I was planning to spend the day touring San Francisco by myself, thinking that I wouldn't mind some down time to be alone. Plus, I haven't played "tourist" in the city for awhile and was looking forward to window shopping and chillin' out. However, Richard had called last night to cancel out on dinner and mentioned that he was going into the city this morning (he's moving into a new place this weekend), so everything fell into place by accident. He cruised by and picked me up from San Jose, and we got the unexpected chance to hang out and catch up. NICE, except none of the other pictures we took together came out. Oh well. We stopped into Barnes & Noble amongst other places, and I was able to find a copy of "Screenplay", which I'll read on the plane ride home.

We grabbed a slice of pizza from the company break room and ate outside, right in front of his building. We can't stop laughing whenever we're together. SO STUPID. Rene was kind enough to let me use one of his computers at his office so that I could catch up on the backlog of work that had accumulated in the past few weeks and to draft the EB for next Monday. I was a good little girl, didn't interrupt him at all while I was there (I'm lying). Rene works for Shockwave.com. That company is WAY COOL.
![]() After work, we stopped by his new apartment in the city and then headed out to Palo Alto where we met Justin, Anne, Nelson, Cindy, Kevin and his friend Dave for dinner at a family-style Italian restaurant, right across the street from the place we were at last night. I really LOVE Palo Alto. It's such a charming little town. Afterwards we went over to a coffee shop in the area and hung out, and then later, Cindy and I went over to Kevin's place where we hung out for quite a long time. As goofy as we all can be, we can also get downright serious when it comes to our careers. It was quite an interesting conversation we had.
