Saturday, January 6th Cruisin' out of San Francisco... Cindy got up incredibly early to catch a flight to L.A. for a family reunion. I couldn't help but get up and chat with her while she was getting ready. She wore the cutest outfit, heh heh... Kevin came over to pick her up and thoroughly entertained us with his "Strike a Vogue" golf moves. It was MOST endearing, LOL. Click on the photo to see more pictures.
After they left, I couldn't get back to sleep, so I called Nelson and got him up earlier than we had planned. We went to Denny's for breakfast, and Nelson tried grits for the first time. The weather was nice, and the drive to the SFO Airport was quite pleasant. The new international terminals there were absolutely gorgeous. One of the most beautiful airports I've yet to see. Unrelated, I still haven't heard from Gus and am extremely concerned.

To make a long story short, I was bumped off the plane, told I was okay to go, bumped off again, told I could go, and then, after settling down in my seat with my seat belt on, got bumped off again. Story of my life. I was quite cooperative with the airline staff, particularly because I got an $800 credit for agreeing to take tomorrow's flight. A family of 5 also got bumped... they were comped an even $4,000. Nice huh? Smart of me to ask Nelson to stick around just in case, eh? It's becoming SOP when I travel. It took forever to get all the paperwork straight but fnally, after checking in to the Airport Hotel, we headed back for Nelson's place. For the rest of the afternoon, he watched t.v. while I used both his desktop and laptop computers to prepare tomorrow's EB and to write some missing entries. Nelson was most generous, as usual. I owe that boy! It felt GREAT to have access to a computer. I was happy. We're probably going into the city tonight and having IN-N-OUT burgers (YAY! My favorite!!), and afterwards I'll get to sleep in my own bed at the hotel. Looking forward to some space and a night of rest.
