Tuesday, October 10th

Today is Double Ten, and for the first time in a long time I slept in until noon. That was weird. It is so bright and sunny outside, a part of me really wanted to go to the beach, but the urge to get some work done got the best of me so here I am typing away. I should PROBABLY check out the celebrations going on around the city, but oh well. My name is Christine and I'm a workaholic. Laurie and I grabbed a cup of coffee at Starbucks where we ran into Joe Fye. I see Joe everywhere. Introducing Joe:

Hey Joe!

Yesterday I had sent off an email to my family telling them about my having drinks with Wayne Yang last night (an old family friend who just recently moved to Taipei) and my going to the Ricky Martin concert at the Taipei Sports Stadium tomorrow evening. Only recently have I been able to crawl out of my cave to try and keep my family abreast of the little things that I do around here - part of the inspiration behind this website - which I increasingly am feeling is important.

Here's the email I got from my brother just now:

What is Wayne Yang doing over there? How did you get in touch with him?

Rrrrrricky Martin??????????? ROFL LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man, you have got to
move back to the US and get a life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

     Your bro

I was up until 2 am entering contact information from the jobs classifieds of the Sunday papers for a new marketing program that we'll be rolling out this week. (Acer Ginny brought up the idea over dinner a few weeks back... she has been our #1 cheerleader.) It was data entry out the WAZOO... but knowing that this Excel spreadsheet is to be our future Prospect List for .COM, I cursed I mean persevered until I could no more.

Earlier I watched an HBO documentary called "Six Months To Live" which followed the lives of 6 cancer patients who pursued alternative treatments in an attempt to fight their terminal illnesses. It made me rethink the way I think about life. Which further inspired me to work on this website.
