2:18 p.m.

It's late! I spent all of last night working on this website. It is just too fun, though I can't wait to settle on a design and get the index page up and running. I just... want... to... write...

Craig called earlier asking if I wanted to join him and his friends for a game of Scrabble, but I was too beat. I spent the evening at home hanging out with Laurie. Adella left for Malaysia yesterday, and we missed her already.

I LOUNGED around the house all day today and got absolutely nothing done... and I hate it when that happens. I finally turned on my computer just now. Goal of the day? To finish the revisions of the rev model and to draft Monday's EB.

8:15 p.m.

Gods. This Excel spreadsheet is so dang complicated. I'm ready to THROW IT OUT THE WINDOW. First I had to divide the user base growth assumptions into those that are already living in Greater China and those are not yet here. Within Greater China, I had to separate each of the 6 cities we'll be targeting, as the international population differs from city to city.

Estimated impressions are based on the number of times we assume each user will visit the site per DAY, and that had to first be broken down by each major section of the site (18 in total) as we have to assume that certain sections will be visited more or less often than others. And since the spreadsheet is reflected in MONTHS, the daily calculations had to be adjusted accordingly.

Go ahead and say it... altogether now...

"But HOW will you make money? Banner advertising is OUT! B2C is OUT! How will you convert page views into real dollars?" SHOW ME THE MONEY CHRISTINE.

Chill. In total, there are 3 revenue categories and 12 products that will be offered. Banner advertising is 1 of those 12. I had to extract different variables from the above reference items to calculate the estimated revenues for each of the 12 products, as some are dependent on total users per month, some are based on the incremental growth rate of users currently living IN the region, some are based on impressions, and so forth.

What a nightmare.

But... it's an important process to go through. As conservative as I've made it and as critical as I've been of it, the numbers are solid. This business plan kicks ass. Now I just have to add the text to explain how each revenue item was calculated, and before that, I also have to figure out what is wrong with one of them because as it stands, it shows a revenue total for the first year at US$13 million! THAT CAN'T BE RIGHT CHRISTINE YOU MORON.

I'm never going to get out of here. And people wonder why I'm so busy...

Almost forgot to mention...

Recently a number of people have been signing up for the IPO mailing list. HOW ODD... IPO was suspended ages ago! This was my latest revelation...

To create these HeyChristine journal pages, I copied the codes from our current O teaser. In so doing, I discover this --> http://www.IPO-Taiwan.com/join.html in our Sendfriend code... the IPO page that I had copied to create the O teaser back in May. DUH. So retarded.

I can only imagine how confused those people were.
