Monday, October 16th My muscles ache. ... and I'm tired. I'm still aching from Saturday night. Am I a loser or what. I spent yesterday evening watching a twisted version of Snow White on the tube and then forced myself to finish off the text descriptions for the revenue model from my laptop at home. That was painful, but I got it done, finally. Operational expenses are next on the agenda.
Our site's down. Sigh... Evidently there were problems with our host, so today's Email Bulletin did not go out at all. I'm surprised at how calm I've been all day (probably because I'm tired), but it comes from knowing that there's nothing we can do about it. Risks we take with a smaller web host company. Noted.
And my hands hurt. I've developed an acute case of carpal tunnel syndrome, which lately has been killing me. That's what I get for ignoring it for so long. As of this month, it feels like I've got needles in my fingers, wrists, and forearms, and I find myself constantly massaging my hands. OUCH. So, I did some research.
I've also recently realized, in trying to change the way I type, that my fingers are shorter than the average person for whom the 'standard' keyboard was designed, which means that my recent attempts at resting my wrists on the desktop have been in vain. The key problem (no pun intended) comes from the fact that I type in the exact same way that I play the piano. My hands and arms are raised in the air with no support, and I often typed very fast and with a passion... because I could. What once used to be a skill to my advantage is now the source of a great deal of pain.
I've been told that I need to purchase a wrist brace, a raised silicon-padded wrist rest to lift my typing platform, and a mini-keyboard, for mini-people... ... am I my own Mini Me??!
