Wednesday, October 18th About last night...
That is one chicken burger that I really enjoy eating, bite after bite after bite. And to think that before the Zinger revelation, I've only stepped foot into a KFC twice in the 5.5 years that I've been in Taiwan. The whole gang met up at Jennifer's suite at the Sherwood after work, as it was her last night in Taipei. My how behaved we are in our professional attire! Are these the same people I partied with on Saturday? Impossible.
Some of the girls got upset during Barbara's speech and had to take it to the bedroom. Two minutes later, the guys in the living room started crying too... third quarter earnings flashed across the t.v. screen on CNN's Financial News. YHOO stocks, which I bought at 165 before the April crash, were in the 50s. Oh well... so much for marrying for love...
The website, service, or product displayed here is used and/or endorsed by Yours Truly. Today... I spent way too much time working on this website. I've been writing in this journal for a week now and have already learned a few things. First, typing up journal entries versus writing them in an offline diary provides way too much room for tangents. I might need to cut it down to two or three topics per entry, with a total length of one-page printed. I've also discovered that pictures really do tell a thousand words. I had to move my drafts from the ORIENTED website to a temporary Geocities page, which I'm using as a testing platform. Once I get the index page up and running and most of the profiles written up, I'll move everything over to the HeyChristine.com site, start paying for hosting fees, and then turn it on. In the meantime, I'm keeping up with my journal entries. By the time the site goes up, which I'm guessing will take a month, I'll have some "content". I also wrote up two profiles, one of them being Gus'. That was not easy, I guess because I know him so well and couldn't decide what to write about. But I rather enjoyed writing his profile in particular. It was fun.
