Thursday, October 19th Lunch with Felix at Chung-Hwa Telecom...
I took a number (#166) and then ran into Felix, of all people, who was applying for a new line. Since the wait was long, we took his new scooter to Warner Village where he treated me to a Junior Whopper meal. Isn't that romantic? Even more romantic was the pink-colored helmet he made me wear. It did wonders for my outfit and Felix, what - are - you - doing - with - a - pink - helmet - in - your - scooter.
It was nice to go through this traumatic experience together, and Felix is a sweetie (wink wink), but soon enough, time was up, and I had to leave again without closing my phone line. We got as far as #164. Sigh... oh well... I'm getting used to this... life in Taipei.

It's you! I haven't heard from that girl in ages. I can't really blame her though because we've both been so busy. It's understood that whenever one of us calls, it means that unless we've already made dinner plans, we're meeting up that night (sounds like a bootie call... not), and usually it's at the Vietnamese restaurant in the basement of the Eslite bookstore near Jen-Ai. Over the years it's become our favorite place to meet, that and Mr. Paco. Anyway, it was wonderful catching up with that girl. Later we had coffee at the 24-hour coffee shop upstairs and talked until late in the evening. In the back of my mind I've always pictured us working together at some point in the future, though doing exactly what, I have no idea right now. She's all about business (snap snap snap!), and I really like her style.
