Monday, November 6th How much more can be said about the EBs?
It's interesting that the both of us have such strong writing inclinations and yet always need that one last review from the other to make it that much better. Speaking of which, we are always surprised at how poor some of the writing is from companies and organizations that submit information to the site. To help them out, and to ensure the quality of what goes into our EBs, we often spend a lot of time editing other people's compositions. It's not the most exciting part of what we do.
One small step... We got an unexpected surprise email from a former reporter of the China Post who wrote, "Hi, I think I sent you an e-mail praising you for your site a few weeks before, but now I want to praise you again since I just found my dream job on your job section. Regards, ***".
This one lone email made Gus and myself act like kids... we were ecstatic! It is exactly what we hope to accomplish. Now if we could just CATAPULT our efforts...
The website, service, or product displayed here is used and/or endorsed by Yours Truly. Lifestyles and Careers... I spent a lot of time this evening focusing on the What's What section and the Purpose section of this site. Upon reflection, I couldn't help but remember something that Jennifer pointed out to me at Ren Jien a few months ago. We were talking about how different of career paths we've taken, her the corporate expat with a major multinational corporation, and me the whacky "entrepreneur", not knowing what may come from one day to the next. She'll stay at the office as long as necessary to get the work done, but once she leaves, she leaves her work behind. I, on the other hand, roll it all up into one. I am constantly thinking about "work", regardless of whether or not I'm "working". As I read through the background material of this site, what she said is very true. This site is personal, commercial, professional, and social, all in one. Weird huh. I think, no I'm certain, that the men in my life must also be involved in my assorted "projects", one way or another. Otherwise, they most definitely are not a part of me. No pressure, really...
