About the banners on this website...

I'm getting a little daring with my banners these days. Yesterday, I put two on one page. I think what I'll do is incorporate two banners on days that I write long scripts. If I take the time to write longer entries, I might as well make it worth something. It's only fair (wink wink). Besides, the banners I choose to put on HeyChristine.com are of products and services that I personally use or endorse and would recommend to my friends. Yes, there is meaning in everything I do, even in my advertising policies.

Also, many are of non-profit organizations that I am involved with or that I support. Thus, the ads are as much a reflection of who I am as these journal entries that I write.

So humor me. Click on one now.

I was a little concerned the other day that I might run out of things to say in these journals but for the life of me I cannot remember whom I was talking about this with. Anyway, he (I think it was a he) said that knowing how I am, that's not likely. I guess that's true since I've been keeping journals for as long as I have, and plus there's always something to say about ORIENTED, a never-ending story. It's just a weird feeling not knowing what I'll be writing about tomorrow...

United States Presidential Elections...

Anyway, as of this writing, we still do not know who will be the 43rd President of the United States of America. This is indeed the most exciting Presidential election in my time, though I can't say that I'm too terribly excited about either candidate. I'm actually surprised that voter turnout was as high as it was this year.

taken from the Taipei Times website In any case, what I feel is the most exciting outcome of the elections is Hillary Clinton's victory win as New York Senator. New Yorkers can bitch and complain all they want, but the bottom line is that her say is going to take them a lot farther than any other candidate in the running. They're idiots if they don't see that and shouldn't be allowed to vote.

I really admire her a LOT, for her competence, her strength, and her grace. That she can overlook her husband's faults and recognize the good in him and what he has done for her to help get her where she is today is something I also very much admire. Hillary Clinton has what it takes to be a great leader, and should she ever run for President, you can bet I'll be voting for her. Here's a great article that inspired me just to read it, from the New York Times website.

Now SHE would make a Presidential candidate to be excited about.
