Today was a day of miscellany.

I most definitely have not been sleeping well trying to finish off the reference content on this site. This morning I got up at 4:30 am and couldn't get back to sleep, so I flipped on my computer to try and get some work done. It's made me tired for the rest of the day. I think the problem stems from the fact that I am never satisfied with my writing. When I go back and reread sections I've completed, I find myself not happy with a word or a sentence structure or an expression I've used. It's frustrating.

Today's page views for .ORG were at an all time high. It was pretty exciting, though Gus is always a bit more cautious than I am. Actually, the numbers were almost double our average Tuesday peaks, which is rather strange. We have no idea how to assess that, but my guess is that someone in particular is checking out the site.

The sun came out from the clouds.

And, it was actually warm, most definitely a beach day. Kind of weird huh because we're right smack in the middle of November. If it's like this on Sunday I am definitely going to want to get to the beach, although I don't know how I'm going to squeeze it in since I was planning to visit my grandmother on Saturday. We'll see. Today is definitely one of those days where I'm feeling completely overwhelmed.

The most exciting part of the day...

Gus showed me our Yellow Pages online. It is AMAZING. It is fast, and clean, and comprehensive. The more we were playing with it, the more I realized just how useful it's going to be. All of those people who are not here yet can all of a sudden get employer contact information, lists of headhunting companies in Taiwan, search for translators, airlines, moving companies, etc. I couldn't stop testing it out just to see what we currently do and do not have in the database. It really is amazing. Other than that, I'm just extremely tired. Sponteneous humor does not fair well when one is walking around like a zombie.

Is it necessary to be so ANAL?

This evening's focus was on the IPO advertising page and the Career Opportunities with ORIENTED section. For some reason I had difficulty with both of them and it's setting me back a lot farther than I had anticipated. Maybe because I'm so tired. This ain't easy. Formal writing I mean. These are two of the most important sections of the site. HELP! I also aim to figure out how in the world to download pictures off my digital camera. Irony alert: I hate reading user manuals and learning how to use new gadgets. Would much rather someone else do it for me. Horrible. Just horrible.
