Thursday, November 23th Welcome to Taipei, Nelson! This morning was a painful one. For whatever reason I got up at 6 a.m. and noticed that we had no electricity, and then went back to bed wondering how I was going to get back up in 30 minutes to meet Nelson L. at the Hyatt. I stayed with him back in September when I cruised through the bay area on my way to Justin and Anne's wedding, which was one totally fun weekend. Since then he has changed jobs and is now the Director of Financial Planning at iScribe.com.
Nelson's in town for four days on vacation and took an early morning flight in from Hong Kong. Like everyone else, he wants a digital camera just like mine. And like everyone else but me, he just went shopping in Shenzhen. By the time I met up with him, brought him back to my place, crashed for another 30 minutes and then went to work, I was totally wiped. Can someone please tell why it looks like it is snowing in the Hyatt lobby?
Nelson met me for lunch later, and then he came up and checked out what I'm doing with HeyChristine.com. He got a good laugh at the press release I wrote up for myself. YOU try writing a press release about YOURSELF in third person! It makes you feel RETARDED.

For the first 20 minutes I could not find my Romeo Must Die CD and almost had a *** fit. Weird how attached I am to that soundtrack. Anyway, I was reading through some recent news and am still amused by the break in the cable lines near Singapore, although I am beginning to wonder if it's affecting our connection here at the WTC. Scary how reliant we are on stuff like that. Click on the map to read the news article.

Still going at it...
Below are two pictures from Thanksgiving dinner at Dan Ryan's with the Acer global marketing group (and I still don't know what Nelson and I were doing there), Stuart S., Acer Ginny and her friend Sean, who showed up much later.
