Friday, November 24th Need to show off my digital camera and my friend Ginny! Ahem. I need to say one thing. Downloading pictures from this digital camera is just TOO EASY. I still cannot get over it. Of course my USB port seems to NOT be working so I need to call Mr. Computer Man to come and rescue me, but Gus' computer is working just fine. It's so incredibly easy to use, even Gus is still pretty psyched about it (he got himself one too). Here are shots of Ginny that I took of her a few days ago with the camera at her office. She is one cool chick. Just do NOT cross her path or she will BITE you. ARRRF.
The website, service, or product displayed here is used and/or endorsed by Yours Truly. I think I'm losing my mind! Okay. I'm starting to feel the weight of it all, and by "it" I mean everything. Not including my DAY job, I need to contact corporate sponsors one by one and get the ball rolling with that. Beforehand, I need to make sure the basic mock pages of this site look good enough to go, and unfortunately for me my perfectionist side has kicked in. Mike gave me a draft of the disclaimer that I'm suppose to have everyone I profile sign, and I need to rewrite that because it just sounds too NASTY. Mike are you nuts?! I'd like to keep my friends if I can not scare them off! Plus they're my FRIENDS. They're not going to sue me geez! I tried going back into my PayPal account which I had set up a few months ago and forgot my dang password, so now they are going to MAIL me a new one to my home address, but the thing is that I'm starting to wonder if I submitted false information as I sometimes do when these websites want me to register so who knows where that's going. Gus is leaving tonight for a two-week trip to the U.S. to visit business schools, leaving me to run the .ORG site on my own, my USB port is malfunctioning so I need to get that taken care of if I want to download photos from this new digital camera (we've been doing it from Gus' computer), we only have electricity in CERTAIN rooms at the apartment, and on top of that, my hands still hurt like hell!! And did I mention that Nelson is in town?! Tonight we're going with Acer Ginny and her friend Sean from Yodlee.com to a Christian Dior thingy, then having a late dinner, then going to Ren Jien to meet up with the gang for drinks including Rich Hsu who's in town, and from there, we're going to Opium Den!
Nelson stopped by the office and actually witnessed what I do every day. A minimum of 7 applications and browsers opened at once while my fingers burn holes into my keyboard. There was a time when I used to have time to chat with him and other friends online, but nowadays that is entirely impossible and now he knows why. I THINK I'M LOSING IT. Last note. The sun is shining brightly in the sky. If it keeps up like this, I'm going to the BEACH on Sunday and I'm dragging Nelson with me whether he likes it or not!
Christian Dior shin dig... Basically, Acer Ginny got us tickets and we crashed the party. It was a pretty cool event, held outdoors at some Water Museum in a shady part of town. Note: my digital camera does not have a flash, so it wasn't too cooperative with night time pictures. I still love it though. Click on the photo below to see more in my photo album! We ran into a slew of people we knew, too many to list here, but the most bizarre connection was running into Norman from the Chien Tan trip ('91, and do not ask me how I remembered his name because I have NO IDEA) who is now working in Hong Kong and realizing that he and his friend knew NELSON from a separate connection in D.C., via Lindsey W. It is freakin' scary how small this world is.
