Thursday, December 14th Whoa... That's a new word I'm incorporating in my journals in honor of Corrina. She called me the other day, and we ended up talking for awhile. I had forwarded her all the "big bang" emails from that friend of mine, we'll call him "Little Joe Dinero", and she was concerned that I'd be a mess. On the contrary... all I could talk about was this website, LOL.
It's not so much that I didn't care. It's just that once the truth comes out about people I thought I knew, it's hard to think of them in the way that I used to. At my old age, nothing much surprises me any more. If I ever see him again, I'll be mindful of the situation, and if he ever needs anything I would definitely help him. But whether or not I'll ever respect him again is probably not going to happen.

What I INTENDED to spout about was how difficult the Investor Relations page, now called the Executive Summary, is turning out to be. I have no idea how many times I've drafted that thing throughout the year and cannot believe that I am rewriting it AGAIN. I'm starting to really HATE it, and hate is a STRONG word, although I was happy about the photos. They definitely add a nice touch. Trying to make the Executive Summary page look nice is consuming so much of my time. I spent WAY too much of it linking the logos of competitor sites and trying to place them nicely against each other, resizing some and rearranging others, only to decide at the end of the day that that whole section looked terrible. I created text links instead, which took all of 10 minutes. Gods. This is by far the most difficult page of the site to put together. On top of it all, I really feel like I am educating the readers of that page. Most people don't really know what an online community is - including those that claim to be one - and to a large extent that is to my advantage, but I sincerely hope that those who have the means and interest in investing in my project will take the time to understand what it is they are investing in.
Or does that even matter? Jun's philosophy is, if someone wants to give me funding, "take the money and run you numbskull!" Those were his exact words, LOL. Totally unrelated, I was suppose to write a little summary of our conversation with Mike's mom the other day, but I'm just too busy. Sorry Mike! I know how much you were looking forward to reading it!
