Friday, December 15th Carol is so funny I can't stand it sometimes. Carol wrote me an email yesterday that was just too funny. She's given me permission to include it in my online journals, so here it is below. She, Corrina, Harriet, and a few others have a true talent for writing inappropriately funny excerpts about very grave matters. I keep telling them to start their own journals, but so far they won't budge. In any case, their emails alone give me enough content for a lifetime.
"Stuart woke up at 4:30am in the morning shivering like mad man vibrating the bed like magic fingers. Carol the insensitive thought he was 'exaggerating' and doing his usual let's-fool-carol-jokes but he was totally sick with fever and nausea. I left him this morning on the couch. All day I called home to see if he was OK but no answer. I started leaving begging PLEASSSE answer the phone messages on the machine. Combined with work stress, I was stressing big time so by 7:00 when he finally called on my mobile phone while I was on the elevator and then cut off when this amazingly tall woman got on the elevator, I had to tell her, this stranger, the whole story because of all the stress I had. Apparently Stuart went to the hospital after almost throwing up on the UPS man (he waited until the man left) and had to have an IV because he was so dehydrated. I was so relieved to hear his voice, I cried on the streets of NYC."

It was such a nice day outside that I just had to get out, so I walked over to Warners and grabbed myself some lunch. The weather was quite spectacular, it's hard to believe that it can be so warm in December.
Al Gore gives final speech. Sign of the times... Here's a pretty good article on Al Gore's final speech regarding the election results. I saw some of his speech on t.v. and didn't think it was all THAT. Nonetheless, I couldn't help but notice some striking similarities to the last R.O.C. elections in which Chen Shui-Bian came into office. Under such unusual circumstances, Bush, like Chen, is going to have to work overtime to prove himself. Any incompetence on his part, real or perceived, is going to give Gore a foot in the White House door in 2004. While I won't state my political stance here on this forum (how very D.C. of me), I can't help but question Bush's competence as a United States President for one reason and one reason only. He doesn't give me a whole lot of confidence when he speaks in public. That's my two cents on the matter. Other than that, I was busy as Ping Guo Pie today, working on the Executive Summary until it almost killed me. Will elaborate on that tomorrow.
Fireworks works for me... I made my very first graphic on Fireworks. Here it is below. Nice huh? Gus would be proud. Click on it to see what I've been working on. I needed to use the graphic for the "Barriers to Entry" section of the Executive Summary. Speaking of Gus, he's been awfully quiet. I wonder what he's up to. Anyway... it's time for me to go. LOL.
