Christmas Day...

I got up after 10 a.m. and joined Mom in the kitchen. I passed by Dad in the living room who was enjoying his new stereo system that he got for himself for Christmas. Hey Dad! My brother went out hoping to bring Bojangle's back for lunch (his favorite), but of course, being in the Bible Belt, it was closed.

Instead, Mom whipped up a choice of congee and some noodles mixed with veggies which is what we had for lunch, and afterwards... we played Scrabble. HA. Playing Scrabble with competitive, passive-aggressive, sarcastic family members is always fun. For the most part, no one says a word during the entire game, but you just KNOW what everyone's thinking while they each study the board and look around the table. "Heh heh heh."

After everyone left, I hung around the house for the rest of the day. It is awfully, awfully, slow paced, around here. Worse, is that Mom downloaded the EMILY VIRUS last week. She kept insisting that she thought her friend - Emily - was sending her something. I am unable to use anything but the Internet and have been going INSANE because of it. All of the work I had planned on doing while at home is now totally impossible. That ain't a good thing. I'm getting a new laptop... tomorrow!
